Adding a touch of magic to QED - Paul Zenon

The links between magic and skepticism run curiously deep, with many of history's greatest conjurers placing themselves firmly in the skeptic camp - not least the most famous magician of all, Harry Houdini.

What's more, a surprising number of our excellent QED line-up have turned their hands to the art of illusion in the past, with Joe Nickell, Massimo Polidoro and DJ Grothe all accomplished magicians.

Given the overwhelming overlap between the worlds of magic and skepticism, we at QED can't think of any better way to round off our Saturday evening's entertainment than a show from the excellent magician Paul Zenon.

Paul has long been one of the UK's most recognisable magicians, with sell out runs at festivals across the world and countless TV appearances under his belt. He was one of the pioneers of street magic in the UK, and has long been an outspoken critic of exponents of the paranormal. To top it all off, Paul's regularly appeared in 'Dictionary Corner' on countdown - how many other QED speakers can say that?

Remember, you don't have to have a ticket to the Gala Dinner to catch Paul - he'll be part of the post-dinner entertainment, alongside the fantastic Robin Ince and a special performance from the wonderful Sarah Angliss.

Tickets to the weekend are still available - get yours today and join us in looking forward to a cracking weekend in March!
